ABOUT ME
Hey! I’m Gina. I’m a web content specialist, focusing on content management and web optimization; and a UX/UI designer.
As a child, I’d sneak into my dad's office and steal his old paperwork for drawing, driven by a creative urge. Fueled by this early passion, I enrolled in many design classes throughout high school and college experimenting with various mediums, searching for the one(s) that truly resonated with me.
Beginning my design career, I stepped into the role of a web content specialist. At first, I thought it lacked creativity. Yet, as I immersed myself in my role, I discovered a different kind of artistry in streamlining processes and finding inclusive solutions for our diverse user base. My problem-solving approach and ability to enhance processes brought a unique form of creativity to the role.
My passion for equipping individuals with intentional design and empowering people from all walks of life grew from my work with a diverse audience spanning various cultures, ages, and life stages.
After some time, I learned about UX/UI design and how well it aligns with my current role. I wanted to advance my career and expand my knowledge of its diverse applications. I enrolled in Designlab’s UX Academy and recently graduated in June 2024, where I acquired invaluable skills and knowledge essential for my professional growth.
I’m starting to believe this is the medium I’ve been looking for all these years.
When I'm not designing, you'll find me playing video games, traveling, hunting for antiques, cuddling with my dog Kobi, or experimenting with a new recipe.
